Goud
Goud is a popular news site, writing mostly in Moroccan dialect ‘darija’. It was created by its current CEO Ahmed Najim in 2011 and is edited by the Goud Media company.
In 2015, the king’s personal secretary, Mounir Majidi, brought a lawsuit against this outlet, asking for an indemnity of $US 500 000. He claimed it published a defaming article mentioning him and his businesses as representatives of the rentier economic system is place today in the country.
Its editorial team was originally constituted of journalists that were part of Nichane, a now defunct print paper in Arabic. However, its content is now mainly the work of freelance journalists and citizen-journalists. It covers to important lengths party politics and news.
