Les Inspirations ECO
Les Inspirations Eco, formerly known as Les Echos, was founded in 2009 by its current director and editor-in-chief Samir Chaouki. It is a French-language, daily newspaper, with a financial and economic news focus that was originally created to become the direct competitor of daily L'Economiste.
However, the gap between its distribution number - an average of 7 171 copies - and individual purchase number - an average of 2 029 copies - makes it a small readership paper and one with negative returns.
It is edited by the limited company Horizon Press, a company that is currently expanding into new platforms and outlets. Horizon Press has major economic and political players as its shareholders: Moulay Hafid Elalamy and Said Alj through their respective holding groups, SAHAM and SANAM.
