Caracteres Media Group
Caractères Media Group is a media group, created in 1990 and under ownership of Akwa Group - linked to Aziz Akhannouch (83% of shares), Attijari Capital Risk - a subsidiary of Attijariwafa Bank and thus of the royal holding group SNI (10%). Current Minister of Industry Moulay Hafid Elalamy holds 2% of the shares. The rest of the capital is divided between a number of Aziz Akhannouch's associates.
This group officially owns a number of outlets such as La Vie Eco, Femmes du Maroc, Nissaa Min Al Maghrib, Maisons du Maroc, Le Courrier de l'Atlas.
It is one of the country's most important print media groups. However, it does not appear in our selection of Top 8 Media Companies by revenue, given the fact that it declared a revenue of 0 DHS in 2015.
