Thami Ghorfi
Thami Ghorfi is a Moroccan businessman with a career in the field of media and communication. His first ventures in the area took place in France, before moving back to Morocco. Upon his return to his homeland, Ghorfi started two higher education private school: l'ESCA, in 1992 and l'ESIAC, in 1993.
He launched Radio Aswat in 2007, a way, according to him, to 'reinforce Moroccan identity' against the wave of globalisation. To do so, he partnered with Abdenasser Daif, who is a professor and Seretary General of Ghorfi's school ESCA. Tenor Group, a major holding group with subsidiaries in insurances, real-estate, pharma amongst others, teamed up with Ghorfi. It should be noted that he is long time friend of Farid Bensaid, a minority shareholder in Aswat and CEO of AFMA, a subsidiary insurance company of Tenor Group.
