Maria Moukrim

Maria Moukrim is a Moroccan journalist who worked at the now defunct Arabic-language political weekly Assahifa, one of the leaders of the Moroccan Arabic-language independent press scene. She then joined the Al Ayam team, led by Noureddine Miftah, for which she worked as editor-in-chief. In 2012, Moukrim launched a news website, Febrayer and its editing company Maroc 24, alongside veteran journalist Taoufik Bouachrine. She is now the sole owner of Maroc 24, since she repurchased Bouachrine’s shares.
