Samir Chaouki
Samir Chaouki is a Moroccan journalist. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Conservatoire des Arts et Métiers in Paris. He started out his career as an auditor then went on to become Director for Internal Control within a bank. This part of his career lasted 20 years. He will then turn to journalism and be a co-founder to two successful Arabic-language newspapers 'Al Ayam' (2001) and 'Al Massae' (2006).
In 2009, he creates a French-language daily "Les Echos", that was rebranded as 'Les Inspirations ECO', of which he still is the Director of Publication. Chaouki is also one of three shareholders of the media company 'Horizon Press', of which he owns 25%.
